How to create product feeds

Overview

Send hyper-targeted product recommendation emails with custom product feeds! Product feeds allow you to create multiple specific feeds, like products that are grouped together, on sale, or new.

Read on to learn how to create and use product feeds.

Before getting started

Make sure you've connected an eCommerce integration like Shopify or BigCommerce.

Product feed types

You can create product feeds based on seven metric types.

Standard feed types use data from your store to determine which products are displayed while personalized feeds rely on activity data provided by Beacon.

Feed type	Standard or Personalized	Availability	How products are included
Best Selling	Standard	All eCommerce integrations	Products with the most sales during the selected period
Lowest Price	Standard	All eCommerce integrations	Products with the lowest price during the selected period
Highest Price	Standard	All eCommerce integrations	Products with the highest price during the selected period
Recently Created	Standard	All eCommerce integrations	Products most recently created during the selected period
Products in Abandoned Cart	Personalized	Shopify BigCommerce	Products that have been present in the contact's abandoned cart during the selected period
Products in Abandoned Checkout	Personalized	Shopify BigCommerce	Products that have been present in the contact's abandoned checkout during the selected period
Products Recently Viewed	Personalized	Shopify BigCommerce	Products that were most recently viewed by the contact during the selected period

Create a product feed

To create a product feed:

Click the Account icon
Click Product Feeds
Click Create Product Feed
Select a store
Enter a descriptive name for your product feed
Select a feed type:
1. Best selling over the last 3, 30, or 90 days
2. Lowest price over the last 3, 30, or 90 days
3. Highest price over the last 3, 30, or 90 days
4. Recently created (based on the date the product was created in your store) over the last 3, 30, or 90 days
Add one or more optional filters to include or exclude products based on:
1. Product collection
2. Price
3. Products' name
4. Stock level
Click Create

Update a product feed

To update an existing product feed:

In the View column next to the product feed you want to update, click the arrow icon
Make your desired changes
Click Update

Use a product feed

You can select a product feed when using a product block in an email built with the visual email builder. See How to display products in an email for more information on the product block.

Troubleshooting

I got an error saying options.filters.0.value: The options.filters.0.value field is required when options.filters is present.

You'll see this error if you try to save a filter that requires a value, like minimum price or stock level, before filling the value out.

To clear the error, ensure all filter fields contain a value and click Create or Update again.
