How to use Beacon events to trigger automations

Overview
You can use specific Beacon events to trigger automations, such as an event for a view on a specific page to send potential buyers more information about the page's content.
Create an automation trigger using a Beacon event
Using Event Tracking as a trigger when building a browse abandonment or cart abandonment automation can create an extra touchpoint to help contacts complete a purchase. You can send additional messages or even add tags to contacts' profiles to record their interest.
To use a Beacon event as an automation trigger:
Create an automation
Click the + Add Trigger button
Select Event Triggered
Select the event you want to use to trigger the automation
Build the rest of your automation
Activate your automation
Use the activity feed on contact profiles to confirm that Beacon has triggered correctly when testing automations using Beacon events.
