Collect SMS Consent with Custom Opt-In Keywords
Opt-in keywords allow Contacts to subscribe to your brand’s SMS marketing messages by texting a keyword to your toll-free number. Create up to 20 opt-in keywords for specialized content!
Use a short word as your keyword to increase opt-in rates!
The following words cannot be used as custom keywords:
Create a Keyword
To create a new keyword, click the Settings icon > SMS > + Keyword > Choose a List that is used as a trigger in an Automation containing SMS.

As soon as your opt-in keyword is saved and associated with a List used in a welcome Automation, it is ready to start collecting SMS marketing consent opt-ins. Before adding your opt-in keyword to emails, social media, or print assets, make sure you have consent language ready to go.

Delete a Keyword
To delete an opt-in keyword, click the trash can icon next to the keyword > Delete Keyword. The deleted keyword will no longer pass through consent to receive SMS marketing materials.
