How to deactivate an automation

Overview
Deactivated automations do not allow contacts to begin an automation or finish one they are already in, and deactivated email nodes are skipped in active automations. Read on to learn how to deactivate an automation!
Deactivate message nodes
Deactivated message (email and SMS) nodes are skipped in active automations. If an email node is deactivated and later reactivated, there is no way to reroute contacts who passed the node when it was deactivated back to the node after it is reactivated.
To deactivate an email node:
Click the message node
Click Inactive
Deactivate automations
Deactivated automations do not allow contacts to begin an automation or finish one they are already in. If an automation is deactivated and later reactivated, there is no way to see information about contacts who may have triggered the automation while it was deactivated.
To deactivate an automation:
In the upper right corner, click the toggle to set it to Inactive
Click Deactivate
