What Is DMARC?

DMARC stands for Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance, and is a type of email authentication in order to prevent direct domain spoofing.

Per DMARC lists and policies, free-emails like Yahoo, AOL, Microsoft, and Gmail (to name a few free email servers), are on the “Cannot Use” list.

This means they can not be used as your “From Email” when creating and sending emails inside of Sendlane. Otherwise, the emails will be rejected when sent. This is because the email is coming from Sendlane rather than the free-email server.

For more information, you can visit the official DMARC website.
