How to whitelist an email address

Overview

Adding an email address to an approved senders list or always allow list is a way for your Contacts to signal to their inbox provider that they want to receive your content. 

Each inbox provider uses a simple, one time only process for adding a sender to the always allow list.

Read on for instructions for each popular inbox provider!


Gmail

  1. Open an email from the email address to be whitelisted

  2. Hover over the From email address or the sender’s round icon

  3. Click the Add to contacts button

Yahoo

  1. Open an email from the email address to be whitelisted

  2. Hover over the From email address

  3. Click the Add to contacts link

Outlook/Hotmail

  1. Open an email from the email address to be whitelisted

  2. Click the dot menu

  3. Click Add to Safe Senders

Mac Mail

  1. Open an email from the email address to be whitelisted

  2. Click the dropdown arrow next to the sender’s name or right click on the sender

  3. Click Add to VIPs

AOL

  1. Open an email from the email address to be whitelisted

  2. Click on the sender name/email address

  3. Click Add Contact
