Account Settings

The account settings page is where you can control all of the basic details about your Sendlane account!

In this article we'll share how to:

Plus, we'll also cover our Unsubscribe and Email Preferences settings!


How to Update Your Profile

The Account Details section allows you to update all of your basic profile information (like your name, organization/company name, address, and phone number)!

  1. Navigate to your Account tab and click on Settings
  2. Locate the Account Details box and click Edit Information
  3. Fill in any fields that are blank, or incorrect
  4. Click Save

And that's it! Your account profile will be updated accordingly.


How to Set Your Time Zone

The Account Time Zone setting allows you to update all visual timestamps in your account based on the GMT time you select!

Please Note

Be sure you've already filled out your entire account profile before attempting to set your time zone!

  1. Navigate to your Account tab and click on Settings
  2. Locate the Account Details box and click Edit Information
  3. Using the dropdown, select the time zone most appropriate for your area
    Please Note

    Not all countries are visible, just time zones, so please use care when making your selection.

  4. Click Save

You are all set! All timestamps (including scheduled campaigns) in your account will now be shown in your account time zone!


How to Create an Access Token

The  Access Token section allows you to grant account access to another Sendlane account (for example if you were to hire a marketing agency to manage your email marketing).

  1. Navigate to your Account tab and click on Settings
  2. Locate the Additional Information box and click Get Access Token
  3. Click renew to confirm your choice on the next screen to generate your access token

And that's it! You can now share your new token with your second account to grant access to your Sendlane account!


How to Change Your Password

The Password section allows you to manually reset the password for your account.

  1. Navigate to your Account tab and click on Settings
  2. Locate the Additional Information box and click Edit Password
  3. Enter your current password, then enter your new password into both the New and Confirm fields
  4. Click Save

And that's it! You can now use your new password to login to your Sendlane account!


Unsubscribe and Email Preferences

This section allows you to design and control the different pages your contacts see during the opt-out and (if desired) the opt-in process!

TL;DR

Profile details: Account → Settings → Account Details → Edit Information → Save

Time zone: Account → Settings → Account Timezone → Edit Information → Select time zone → Save

Access token: Account → Settings → Additional Information → Get Access Token Renew

Password: Account → Settings → Password → Edit Password → Enter current, new, confirm → Save
