HTML Emails Vs. Plain Text Emails

Plain Text emails are just that – plain text. These emails are equivalent to a letter written on a typewriter. No images, specialty fonts or hyperlinks.

Emailing in regular HTML format delivers an aesthetic design to the email and creates an experience similar to a website within the recipient’s email provider. Some email users choose to receive communications in Plain Text, therefore stripping away any HTML formatting to the message.

Please Note: Plain text will also disable Sendlane’s open tracking feature because there is no way to embed the tracking pixel in a non-HTML email.
