Landing Pages are sales web pages that usually have a value offering in the exchange for information. Sometimes referred to as Opt-in Pages, this type of copy is often used in conjunction with direct marketing techniques to to build a subscription list. The list is comprised of highly targeted consumers by offering the visitor some free type of product, service, or information in exchange for the visitors contact credentials.


A variant is sometimes called a  squeeze page. These landing pages are usually short and concise with an immediate call to action.  Most landing page information is located above the “fold” as well as the lead capture form and/or transaction link. The squeeze page will often have many value offerings and calls to action located through the sales copy. Digital Marketers often use both kinds of pages to varying degrees of success.
