What Is an URL Slug?

The term “URL slug“, is used in Sendlane to name the page you create and will be added to the URL for your landing page.

For example, if you target a weight loss niche you might have a URL slug for your landing page that may read… “Lose weight now“. So once you complete the landing page it will read like

http://mybusinessnameorniche.sendlane.com/Lose-weight-now.

If prompted during the setup of your Sendlane account the URL slug (sub-domain) will be placed before your hosted domain.

  • Example: http://Weightloss.sendlane.com

If prompted during the setup process of a landing page/ opt-in page or setup of a thank you page (TYP) the URL slug will be added to the end of your hosted domain.

Example: http://Weightloss.sendlane.com/Drop-the-weight
