How do I segment my list?

List segmentation is the process by which a list owner divides or sections a portion of said list by predetermined variables. By segmenting a list the marketeer can focus offerings to parts of his list for increased sales, tracking, and market research.

To use SendLane™ to segment any list simply start by clicking “List” in your left hand navigation and then click on the down arrow next to the “Edit” button in the row of the list you wish to segment. From the menu click on “Settings” to be taken to the default list settings.

You will be taken to a screen where in upper middle you will see a set of navigation tabs. Click on the blue tab that reads, “Manage Subscribers” click there. From the drop-down menu click “segments“. From the following screen click the green “Add Segment” button locate on the right hand side of your screen.

On the next screen you will go ahead and name your segment then choose from many different options on how you would like to best segment your list. When you finally finished creating the variable for your segment, click on the green “Save And View Segment” button.
